Developer Tools Ad Examples: 7,482 Distinct Ad Creatives From 52 Companies
AdPeekly tracks 7,482 distinct dev tools ad creatives from 52 B2B companies advertising on LinkedIn. Every ad below is a separate creative template, not a variant of another, and each carries the dates it was observed running. The median dev tools campaign runs 20 days.
Observed between June 10, 2026 and September 23, 2026. Last updated September 23, 2026. How this dataset is built.

How long do Developer Tools and Infrastructure campaigns run?
The median dev tools campaign in the AdPeekly dataset runs 20 days, against a dataset-wide median of 19 days. That is 1 day longer than the average B2B advertiser.
This figure covers the 3,266 creatives from 47 companies where LinkedIn reported a campaign start date, out of 7,482 total. Ads without a reported start date are excluded on purpose: for those, the only available measurement is how long AdPeekly has been watching them, which would describe our scraping schedule rather than anyone's campaign.
Which ad formats do Developer Tools and Infrastructure companies actually use?
AdPeekly observes 8 ad formats across this vertical, and they are nowhere near equally used: Single Image Ad alone accounts for 68.3% of all 7,482 creatives.
| Format | Creatives | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Single Image Ad | 5,108 | 68.3% |
| Video Ad | 1,244 | 16.6% |
| Message Ad | 462 | 6.2% |
| Document Ad | 382 | 5.1% |
| Carousel Ad | 89 | 1.2% |
| Unclassified | 86 | 1.1% |
| Text Ad | 57 | 0.8% |
| Event Ad | 54 | 0.7% |
The Unclassified row is creatives where the scrape did not capture a format label. It is shown rather than dropped so the shares sum to the whole.
How many Developer Tools and Infrastructure ads are still live?
Of the 2,050 dev tools creatives from 33 companies that AdPeekly re-checked in the 7 days to September 23, 2026, 65.9% were still delivering.
Only recently re-checked advertisers are counted. Including companies that have not been revisited would measure how recently AdPeekly scraped them rather than whether their ads are running, and the two look almost identical if you do not separate them.
Developer Tools and Infrastructure advertising, by product category
Where the 52 advertisers in this vertical actually sit. Categories backed by fewer than three advertisers are left out, because one company's ad output is not a view of a market.
| Category | Creatives | Advertisers |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud Infrastructure | 1,502 | 10 |
| APIs | 1,185 | 12 |
| DevOps | 834 | 7 |
| Monitoring | 529 | 3 |
| DevOps & Cloud | 475 | 4 |
Who runs Developer Tools and Infrastructure ads, by company stage
Advertiser counts sit beside creative counts on purpose: a stage with thousands of creatives and one advertiser is that company's budget, not a pattern.
| Stage | Creatives | Advertisers |

Yes. AdPeekly collapses creative variants into one row per template, so 7,482 means 7,482 distinct creatives rather than the same ad counted repeatedly. Before deduplication the same dev tools set holds 24,481 ad records. The median advertiser in this vertical ships about 3.03 variants of each creative, so counting raw records would inflate every number on this page without adding a single new ad worth looking at.
From the campaign start and end dates LinkedIn reports on the ad itself, across the 3,266 creatives here that carry one, out of 7,482 total. Ads without a reported start date are excluded from the median on purpose: for those the only measurable span is the time between AdPeekly first and last seeing them, which tracks our scraping schedule rather than the advertiser's decision. Mixing the two populations produces a number that looks precise and means nothing.
65.9% of the 2,050 creatives from 33 companies that AdPeekly re-checked in the 7 days to September 23, 2026. The filter is per creative, not per company: a company can have some ads inside that window and others outside it, and only the recently re-checked ones count. Creatives not revisited in that window are left out, because an ad that has not been looked at recently keeps whatever status it last had. Counting those would measure how recently AdPeekly scraped it rather than whether it is live, and the two are easy to confuse.
No. AdPeekly tracks a curated list of B2B companies, 52 of them in this vertical, rather than crawling every advertiser on the platform. That makes the dataset deep on the companies it follows and silent on the ones it does not. Read the shares and medians here as describing the tracked set, not the whole industry. The methodology page names the selection rule and the known biases.
Only one company at a time, and only while the campaign is live. LinkedIn's Ad Library has no keyword search, no industry filter, no export and no archive, so ads disappear when campaigns end and nothing records how long they ran. That is why this page exists: a cross-company view of dev tools advertising with the history still attached.
What we noticed
Developer tools ships more variants per creative than any other vertical published here: a median of 3.03 versions per template, ahead of productivity's 3.01 and well above consulting's 1.82 at the other end. That heavy testing does not translate into longer-running campaigns: only 65.9% of its recently re-scraped creatives are still delivering, the third lowest of the twelve verticals published here, behind only operations and legal tech. 52 advertisers stand behind it, more than every published vertical except fintech, AI and cybersecurity, spread widely enough that Cloud Infrastructure, its largest sub-category, still accounts for only 10 of them.
